Im sick of posting about these guys elsewhere
Originally; Rob Sitch, Tom Gleisner, and Santo Cilauro decided to make the group as Uni buddies.
Magda Szubanski, Michael Veitch, John Harrison and Nick Bufalo were also mates at Uni, and were in a few videos etc with different members at that stage.
They then got a show on ABC TV, "D-Generation", with:
Rob Sitch
Santo Cilauro
Marg Downey
Magda Szubanski
Michael Veitch
John Harrison
Tom Gleisner
Tony Martin, Nick Bufalo and Geoff Paine all did bits for the show, but werent officially credited as members.
Rob Sitch then went Part-Time with the group...Giving him some time to finish his medical degree.
Rob rejoined the D-Gen when they created the Radio show, on Triple M (than EON FM or something :S)
Tony Martin was a fulltime member of this show, John Harrison left.
Michael Veitch wasnt originally part of the radio show, but rejoined it not long into it. (the original show was going to be Tom, Rob and Santo, but Rob said he wasnt sure if he could do it, so Tony Martin joined them.
Szubanski and Downey were part of the show from the start, but only did "bit parts"...
When the host is sacked (a guy that was purely with the radio station and no the group, by the name of Peter O'Callaghan), the D-Gen take over by themself, and around this time add Jane Kennedy to the group.
Veitch, Szubanski and Downey all leave to do Fast Forward. They're basically replaced by Mick Molloy and Jason Stevens, and the show gets a host again; Kevin Hillier.
At the melbourne comedy festival, John Harrison after completing his Law degree, rejoins the group for a show on stage. Judith Lucy joins the radio show at about hte same time.
The D-Gen ends, after Rob and Tony Martin leave to work on the Late Show.
The Late Show starts with:
Tom Gleisner
Rob Sitch
Santo Cilauro
Jane Kennedy
Tony Martin
Mick Molloy
Jason Stephens.
Again John Harrison did small pieces with them, as did Nick Bufalo and John Singleton. In the 2nd half of the shows life, Judith Lucy joined the Cast.
The show ends, and Tom, Rob, Santo and Jane begin work on Frontline.
Mick Molloy, Tony Martin and Glenn Robbins also do small pieces for the show.
MMM again enlisted the team to do pieces for their radio network. Funky Squad was one of the better known "mini serials"...Santo, Jane, Tom and Rob were those who were the "Funky Squad"...with the shows popularity, it was put on TV on ABC, where for unknown reasons Tim Ferguson replaced Rob Sitch.
They then did The Castle. Tom, Jane, Rob and Santo wrote and were behind the scenes Tony Martin played a small roll in the film
Not long after that, they were on TV again, on The Panel. Again Rob, Tom and Santo were joined by Glenn Robbins and on this sohw Kate Langbroek joined the cast aswell. Mick Molloy, Tony Martin, Judith Lucy and Magda Szubanski have all been guest panelists...Jane Kennedy is behind the scenes, and has (ive been told but not seen myself) appeared as a guest panelist...
The Dish was the groups next movie, and it was written by Jane, Rob, Tom and Santo. It was also directed by Rob.
All Aussie Adventures was created by Tom, Santo and Glenn Robbins. Glenn starred in the show, Tom and Glenn directed it, Santo filmed it. Rob also helped direct and write for the 2nd series.
