I think Benfica will win at Lisbon, but when they comes to Norway and Trondheim they will freeze so much that it will become a very interesting match, maybe with extra time.

I'm a Rosenborg fan and I hope Rosenborg will advance to next round, but Benfica is favorites, but they are unseeded and Rosenborg are seeded, but that will not be crucial.

I think Benfica will win 2-1 at Estádio da Luz, and Rosenborg wins 1-0 at Lerkendal and RBK will advance to next round.

So we will see...

Ofcourse 3-0 would be ideal, but I think this game will be very tough for us. Rosenborg will give us a lot of trouble in dead ball situations...

I'd be happy with a 1-0 home win, then maybe fight for a 1-1 or 0-0 in Norway.

Not only can't benfica defend corners (plz put someone at the far post covering), they can't even score when they have one themselves. Ever since Cristiano went to the bench, benfica hasn't scored on a corner except for luisao header once.

Rosenborg is still in pre-season as I understand it, so there's some room for optimism...

Corners and free kicks are a big concern for me...we've also lacked good finishing lately. I hope João Pereira starts tomorrow, we could use his quickness against the big Norweigians

I agree 100% with you! I think it will be a very hard game, but I hope we do manage to win... If we play at our best, we are clearly superior, but we also have many shortcomings that Rosenborg can profit from, like set pieces situations. I can't say I'm very confident, but I'm hopeful!

yeah, I'm not very confident either, especially with Sokota being out

I suspect that Roseborg will defend a lot, so we need to make sure we don't concede a goal or we may not be able to get past their packed defence if we go down 0-1.

Just want to wish Benfica a very good game tomorrow, hopefully with a win by big numbers. That would make you all happy for once, and that happiness would certainly extend to the rest of us here.

I hope Benfica players don't go on field with the traditional portuguese 'these nords can't play football' attitude. Rosenborg are a very good team and underestimating them can be fatal.
The worst that can happen to Benfica is having Rosenborg scoring first; we all know how weak Benfica's morale always seems to be, and overcoming that setback coulb be very hard. Still, with a bit of patience and luck I'm sure those lampiões can pull off a nice result for portuguese football.

i really hope we win this match, it won't be easy though, rosenborg is a good team with a lot of experienced players that played in CL for many years, anyway we must not concede any goals, i'd be happy with a 2-0 win.

Parasol, I don't know how many Rosenborg fans which will come to Lisbon, but I would guess it will be around 300-600 fans.

I think Benfica will win, but it won't be easy, maybe 2-1, i think we will suffer a goal, because Benfica defense... :kader: :f***:
I have fear in the set pieces, we are bad in that, and they know it, they are very good in aereal game... But anyway, we will win, i hope to not suffer goals.
I think it will be 2-1. :rockman:
