Thanks man. There's a portuguese dude in my classroom that doesn't miss 1 Atlético match, he must be upset as well.

I think it's over. I doubt Santos will draw against Vasco (they are already free from relegation). But the 2nd place is not bad, we're going to the Libertadores for the 3rd time in 5 years.

And yes, Luxemburgo is a magician. Everything he touches turns into gold. He is an world class manager, it'd be cool to see him at Europe.

There are a lot of humours about him and Corinthians. Some say Carlos Bianchi could be Corinthians coach next season (and Tite could come to Atlético). Luxemburgo is wanted by all teams in Brazil and I believe he must have some proposal from some foreign team. We'll have to wait and see.

I think Corinthians should just stay with Tite. He's doing wonders with that mediocre team he has in hands, i think he would be great with a good team. Anyway, if they get Luxa, Meu Deus, aguenta os homens ano que vem...

Yeah, it's not fair if Corinthians dismisses Tite after all he's done with the players he has. But if they can get Luxemburgo (and already signed Tévez), I don't know but they'll win at least the São Paulo state league.

It's good that Corinthians dismisses Tite cuz he could come to Atlético.:p

It's over. Santos are the champions and they deserve it since Atlético-PR tried to do everything possible to lose it. The relegated teams are : Grêmio, Vitória, Guarani and Criciúma.

The 2nd Division is going to be entertaining next year.

Yeah, but I still feel like ****. It sucks to be the 2nd place...

Anyway, maybe we can do something in the Libertadores with the new signings...

Best wishes for 2005.

I can't believe my favorite Brazilian team, Gremio, is relegated to the second division.v :kader:

Anyways, congrats to Santos... they have marked an era.

Soccer4evry1, sorry your team deflated towards the end of the season. Anyways, good season and they should be proud of their accomplishments.

Palmeiras finished ahead of Corinthians!

peruytu, I know how it is. 2 years ago Palmeiras got relegated and it was the saddest thing in the world for me.

I really doubt. Verdy Tokyo already announced him as the main signing for the other half of the league, I guess he'll announce the transfer this week. No team in South America can keep a player at his level.

Yeah, I'm kinda proud of the players. But it's just that there were so many people saying this team is better than the 2001 one [when we were the champions]... anyway, as I said before, there's hope for the Libertadores.

We'll be in a tough group [1 -> Atlético Paranaense, Independiente Medellín, Libertad, América de Cali], but if we wanna win the Libertadores it doesn't matter how hard the group is [and it could be worse]. The good season we did gives me hope.

Well, looking at the names of the teams, it's pretty tough. Independiente gave Santos a lot of job on Libertadores back in 2003, América de Cali are a hard team to beat in Colombia. Dont know nothing about Libertad. Atlético-PR needs a new coach and some reinforcements, you guys need a bigger squad. More good replacement players.

The team president is after a new coach and reinforcements. People are saying here that the new coach could be Cuca or Paulo Bonamigo.

We will just lose Washington, Fabiano (not sure, if we pay him more he'll stay I guess; and he's not that necessary) and Jadson if Benfica makes a better offer. The rest of the team will be almost the same, with some new names (Dagoberto won't be able to play the group stage tho' ).

Jorge Henrique (Náutico), Danilo (Paulista), Jairo (Paysandu) and Bruno (Marília) are coming, but there are still more to players to come. Some say Cláudio Pitbull (Grêmio) or Marcos Denner (Criciúma) could also join us. There are a lot of rumours, things will start getting clearer during this week.

As for the teams we'll face in the Libertadores, Independiente and América are tough. Independiente won the Copa Mustang I and gave a lot of work to Santos in 2003 at the Libertadores; América de Cali was the team with most points during the year in the colombian league.
Libertad finished 2nd the paraguayan league, but lots of players are leaving.

It'll be very exciting.

EDIT: Waiting until the quality reinforcements begin to show up.

Those 2 wont win a thing for Atlético-PR. You should get Tite if he gets fired from Corinthians (which is pretty likely).
