O Benfica recebeu por parte do seleccionador grego, Otto Rehhagel, a garantia de que Fyssas estará disponível para jogar a Supertaça, frente ao FC Porto.

O técnico campeão europeu assegurou aos encarnados que o lateral-esquerdo só alinhará 45 minutos, no encontro de carácter particular que os helénicos vão disputar a Praga, com a República Checa, no próximo dia 18.

Como é sabido, a Supertaça está marcada para dois dias depois, a 20, mas Fyssas terá tempo para regressar a Portugal e, mais importante, de se apresentar em condições físicas suficientes para se colocar entre o leque de opções de Giovanni Trapattoni.
