Steaua played good, better than Rapid I can say.

I know everyone is expecting to win against Craiova on Sunday but I won't be surprised if we come out with a loss or a draw because we have been horrible in away games this season in all competitions. One thing is clear though Craiova is last and they will go to B next season and we are first so if we don't give them a 3 (or more) - 0 thrashing I'll be pissed.

I think Cristea and Oprita up front is the best option for us.

PS: does anybody know why Hamutovski hasn't been playing lately?

There were some speculations that we were gonna bring yet another forward from Bacau in Ghencea after we got knocked out of the UEFA Cup but then the official site put this up http://www.steauafc.com/nou/index.php?cat=noutati&id=3049.

Mirel Radoi hands down, he would start for any top tier club in Europe even on his bad days.

As for the pitch problem hopefully it will finally get solved and we'll get the world class pitch that we deserve not the s*it that we play on now. I'm just pissed that the company who currently owns the stadium now don't want to sell it or at least lent it for 10 years or so to Gigi he said that he would add at least 15,000 seats to it if they did and so far he has kept his promises since he's been Steaua's owner but who knows if those ****s ever will give him the stadium.

i hope will be a great pitch and a great stadium
but we need stadium 10 years !

I've never seen Steaua play more Italian than they did today. We started the match off playing defensively and letting Craiova pressure us a bit once we saw that they couldn't do crap we started to attack we had 2 posts and then finally a goal from Dica who is in excellent form. In the second half we defended the whole way and we did it brilliantly except for the one chance that Craiova had in the 85th minute but Tudor made a brilliant kick save :Bow:. We got the 3 points which is the most important part but the impressive thing is that we did it in an Italian style of play which so far in this second half of the season has worked pretty well, I mean we have been scored on just once in 4 games so far our defense is very solid.

1. Steaua played "Italian" for the last 3 matches now (1-0,0-0,1-0) and i am getting sick of it. I understand that these matches were very important (including Craiova, you never know what you can expect from an agonizing team that's going down the way they are), but i hope that we'll play some spectacular football in the next matches. This Catenaccio thingy really pisses me off.
2. Dica is in excellent form??! Dica is a lazy selfish bastard, I can't unterstand how he managed to score these 2 very important goals. Maybe you cannot see it on TV, but Dica doesn't run at all during the matches, he just walks in the midfield and waits for the ball to come to him. I understand that these 2 goals should shut me up, but i'm a hardcore-Dica-hater. In the Steaua-Rapid match, Dorinel Munteanu ran half for like 20 m to press the player who was 10 m away from Dicka, and Dica just sat there and watched. He can score as many goals as he wishes, his attitude on the pitch made me lose the bit of respect i had for him.

Yeah we have been playing italian football for a couple of matches now I just said that I've never seen them do it as much as they did today I mean in the second half we didn't even care for passing the ball in the midfield we just gathered the entire team in defensive position and then waited for Craiova to lose the ball after that we just cleared the hell out of it. I understand it isn't spectacular but it gets the job done and if this is the way to win the league than I could care less if we do it all the way to the end of the season.

I totally agree about Dica he is a lazy bastard but as long as he scores I could care less.

Pînă la golul lui Dică din minutul 35, reuşită care a amendat plasamentul prost al fundaşilor centrali şi reveria lui Guso, Craiova s-a agitat. A încercat şi a alergat, numai că Bundea şi Schumacher au tehnică, nu şi viteză, iar Claudiu Drăgan are viteză, dar nu prea are tehnică. Pleşan pare cu mintea între Bucureşti şi Bosfor, Daouda alternează momentele bune cu săriturile pe sub minge. Buhuşi şi Iordache au încercat să desfacă pe flancuri apărarea stelistă, dar le-a lipsit ce era mai important. Ultima pasă.

Steaua îşi exploatează atuurile, ascunzîndu-şi cu abilitate lipsurile. La asta contribuie şi curajul lui Zenga, şi calitatea jucătorilor. Nicoliţă a început pe dreapta, iar după un sfert de oră a făcut rocada cu Dică, împins alături de Cristea. Dorinel a filtrat pase, Paraschiv şi Lovin i-au împiedicat pe adverasri să paseze. Flux şi reflux pentru rezultat, la adăpostul unei apărări unde Rădoi şi Ghionea alcătuiesc probabil cel mai sigur cuplu de fundaşi centrali ai primei divizii. Astfel, asaltul craiovean din finalul meciului s-a transformat într-un fel de antrenament cu specific defensiv pentru băieţii lui Zenga. Lecţia de căpătîi a oricărui italian.

Steaua a obtinut sambata 23 aprilie, de Ziua Sfantului Gheorghe, cea de-a 14-a victorie din aceasta editie de campionat, invingand pe FC Arges cu scorul de 2-0.Ambele goluri ale ros-albastrilor au fost marcate de Nicolae Dica in minutele 50 si 71. Desi nu a constituit o premiera pentru echipa noastra, meciul s-a disputat fara spectatori, elevii pregatiti de Walter Zenga demonstrand prin victoria obtinuta ca au avut taria de a depasi si acest obstacol care ne-a fost scos in calea spre castigarea titlului de o decizie aberanta a unei Comisiei de disciplina a FRF. In minutul 52, Sorin Ghionea a primit un cartonas galben din cauza caruia nu va evolua in partida de miercuri, de la Constanta. Cu sase minute inaintea fluierului final al arbitrului Vasile Bratu, a debutat in echipa noastra atacantul Valentin Simion, in produs al pepinierei clubului Steaua.

7 mai 2005. Ziua in care "trofeul-pui" care sta de 19 ani in vitrina Stelei, copia in miniatura a Cupei Campionilor Europeni, isi sarbatoreste inca o aniversare.
In urma cu 20 ani, atunci cand fotbalul romanesc suferea din lipsa rezultatelor pe plan international, se nastea o echipa care avea sa ajunga, dupa doar un sezon, campioana cluburilor europene: STEAUA BUCURESTI. In vara anului 1985, un colectiv bine inchegat de oameni de fotbal reprezentat din punct de vedere profesional de antrenorii Emeric Ienei si Anghel Iordanescu, strangea in juru-i o serie de fotbalisti - unii cunoscuti, altii vedete in devenire, unii consacrati, altii tineri si dornici de afirmare - ale caror nume aveau sa ramana in istoria clubului-fanion al fotbalului din Romania, chiar in istoria sportului romanesc. Simpla lor enumerare suna, de atunci, ca o poezie: Duckadam, Iovan, Bumbescu, Belodedici, Barbulescu, T. Stoica, Boloni, Balint, Majearu, Lacatus, Piturca, Stangaciu, Weissenbacher, Balan, Pistol, M. Radu.

"Cine sunt acesti romani?"

Cei 16 au pornit pe drumul consacrarii pe 16 septembrie 1985, plecand in tara printului Hamlet pentru a intalni campioana Danemarcei, Vejle Bold Klub. Fara sa se sperie de numele vedetei gazdelor, Alan Simonsen, stelistii i-au tinut pe danezi in sah, intorcandu-se la Bucuresti cu un 1-1 datator de sperante pentru calificare. Ros-albastrii aveau sa-si castige biletul de acces in turul al doilea doua saptamani mai tarziu, chiar in Ghencea, zdrobind pe Vejle cu 4-1. Aceasta calificare avea sa fie, practic, primul exament international al acelei trupe incropite prin munca si ambitie. Urmatorul adversar al campioanei Romaniei a fost Honved Budapesta, formatie care - pe 23 octombrie, acelasi an, in capitala Ungariei - ne-a administrat prima infrangere: 0-1. Paradoxal, exceptand evolutia compartimentului sau ofensiv, Steaua a avut in acel meci cea mai buna prestatie in deplasare din ultimii 15-20 de ani. Nedreptatea avea sa fie reparata pe 6 noiembrie 1985, la Bucuresti, atunci cand "vitezistii" - asa cum aveau sa fie denumiti jucatorii stelisti dupa acea campanie europeana fulminanta - au administrat si ungurilor un identic 4-1. Turul al treilea avea sa ne harazeasca un adversar aparent mai facil decat primii doi, campioana Finlandei, Kuusysi Lahti. Meciul tur, disputat pe stadionul Steaua pe 5 martie 1986, pe un gazon noroios, avea sa ne convinga despre puterea de lupta a necunoscutilor finlandezi si sa ne avertizeze asupra faptului ca tocmai ei ne-ar fi putut elimina. Pe stadionul strajuit de statuia legendarului atlet Paavo Nurmi, Steaua si-a spalat pacatele si a marcat un singur gol, fara sa primeasca vreunul, adica atat cat afost necesar pentru accederea in semifinalele Cupei Campionilor Europeni. La acest nivel, nu mai puteam spera ca vom intalni un adversar mai accesibil. Abia atunci, dupa ce Steaua trecuse trei tururi, celelalte trei echipe ramase in competitie incepusera sa se teama de campioana Romaniei, multi intrebandu-se tematori:"Cine sunt acesti romani?". Sortii ne-au ales ca adversari ai campioanei Belgiei, Andrelecht Bruxelles. Pe 2 aprilie, multinationala campioana a Belgiei luau un avans nu prea confortabil pentru ea, doar 1-0, in meciul tur de pe "Constant van den Stock". Gol Scifo. Desi a fost invinsa, Steaua a jucat aproape fara greseala. A doua zi, dupa meci, ziarul "Les Sports" a scris: "Noi v-am prevenit. Campionii Romaniei nu trebuiau priviti de sus! Chiar daca nu au deocamdata un nume stralucitor pe firmamentul fotbalului european, cum este cel a lui Bayern Munchen, ei au facut exact ce trebuiau sa faca pe stadionul din Parcul Astrid: si-au adormit adversarii cu un admirabil joc de pase, le-au inchis toate unghiurile, au impus ritmul convenabil lor si toate acestea intr-un spirit de joc pozitiv, fara panica, fara brutalitati, fara complexe. Si publicul s-a lasat hipnotizat!". Meciul retur avea sa intre in istorie. Disputata pe stadionul Steaua in prezenta a circa 30.000 de specatori, practic mai mult decat capacitatea arenei, partida-retur a fost un vis: Steaua a invins cu 3-0 si s-a calificat in finala Cupei Campionilor Europeni!

Sevilla 1986 - moment de referinta in fotbalul romanesc si international

Pentru ceea ce realizase in urma victoriei din 16 aprilie 1986, Steaua devenise performera fotbalului european. Numai simpla prezenta ca participant, alaturi de faimoasa FC Barcelona, pe afisul finalei de la Sevilla, ii crescuse cota campioanei Romaniei peste limitele pe care si le-ar fi putut imagina orice roman.
7 mai. Finala editiei 1986 a celei mai importante competitii europene intercluburi. Sevilla. Stadionul ��Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan��. Zecile de mii de spectatori prezenti pe arena orasului andaluz se pregateau pentru fiesta. Nici unul dintre ei nu-si putea imagina ca marea Barcelona va putea rata in fata Regelui Juan Carlos al Spaniei trofeul pus in joc. Sa fim sinceri, nici noi, aceia care speram in fata televizoarelor ca Steaua sa joace macar un fotbal de calitate si atat. Doar ei, acei fotbalisti care au acces acolo, in finala, ei impreuna cu tehnicienii ale caror nume au fost legate pe viata de marele eveniment, au crezut in steaua Stelei. Au crezut, au jucat si au invins. Dupa un 0-0 la finalul celor 90 de minute si, apoi, al prelungirilor, rezultat care ar fi fost contabilizat poate daca s-ar fi jucat o zi intreaga, stelistii i-au invins pe catalani cu 2-0 prin reusitele lui Lacatus si Balint de la "loteria penalty-urilor".
Dupa acel meci, numele Stelei a intrat in istoria fotbalului european, numele jucatorilor acelei echipe de aur au intrat si ele in istorie. La nivel european, Steaua devenise primul club dintr-o tara de dincolo de Cortina de Fier care isi trecea in palmares castigarea Cupei Campionilor Europeni. Pe 7 mai 1986, stelistii au scris cea mai stralucita pagina din istoria clubului si a fotbalului romanesc. Sevilla 1986 a devenit atunci momentul de referinta al fotbalului romanesc, victoria Stelei in fata Barcelonei propulsand fotbalul nostru spre elita celui continental si formand, practic, temelia deceniului de aur al nationalei si al ascensiunii acesteia in topul mondial.
7 mai 2004 este ziua in care toti suporterii Stelei si chiar suporterii fotbalului romanesc isi aduc aminte ca, in urma cu 19 ani, o mare echipa romaneasca - STEAUA BUCURESTI - a realizat ceea ce cu greu poate fi egalat, castigarea Cupei Campionilor Europeni.

Steaua a plecat doar cu un punct din deplasarea de la Iasi, echipa noastra nereusind sa invinga defensiva modovenilor. Cele doua echipe au oferit un joc putin spectaculos, miza pusa in joc, atat pentru Steaua cat si pentru Poli Iasi fiind foarte mare. Stelisti au fost intampinati cu deosebita caldura la Iasi, stadionul fiind plin cu 2 ore inaintea de fluierului de start al partidei. Pentru Steaua urmeaza o noua deplasare de "foc" duminica, la Galati, echipa pregatita de Walter Zenga urmand sa intalneasca pe Otelul.

Having made headlines for promising to build a church for every round his team progressed through in the UEFA Cup, FC Steaua Bucuresti owner Gigi Becali has horrified some Romanian churchgoers by commissioning a remake of Leonardo Da Vinci's 'Last Supper' - with himself in the role of Christ. A local artist updated the old master which now shows Becali surrounded by Steaua's coach and eleven of their players rather than the usual 12 apostles. "I just hope his gesture will not be taken as blasphemy," said one source close to Becali. Meanwhile, to update another Romanian story from last week, FC Universitatea Craiova owner Dinel Staicu is considering selling the club on an internet auction site after the local council refused to take it off his hands for free. Staicu had sent the council the ownership papers for the club saying he was sick of being in charge, but town mayor Antonie Soloman has been forced to send them back, saying: "We simply do not have the money to finance a struggling team." Staicu responded: "The only thing I can think of doing now is putting it on eBay and seeing if I can find someone to take it over."

We won by surprise surprise 1 goal to none. It's getting annoying beating all of these s*it teams with such horrible scorelines. We haven't score two goals in one game this entire second half :kader:. And btw that was not a penalty so now all the critics are gonna say that the refs are helping us win but that's stupid I mean that was hard call for any ref to make because Nicolita fell and he was surrounded by the Cluj players from behind so it was very hard for the ref to see. We dominated the entire match but we missed a s*it load of chances :kader:. I'm hoping for a freaking draw tomorrow or else we're screwed because Cainii will win the rest of their games thats given but us.......the way we've been playing sigh........

Damn "Lil' Robben" (Nicolita) scored 2 goals, a great start for him to score 2 goals after he joined Steaua in March. He is a good side-midfielder, who usually is a servant, but he showed us what a great shot he has :)

Steaua got a victory today that was well deserved and it was all on the field, no off the field crap unlike Dinamo who before the games had fans holding up signs that said "we already know the result, shame on you" of course they ended up winning 5-0 :rolleyes:, if there is any fairness in this world then we should be champions and Dinamo should lose the 2nd place to the more deserving Rapid.

PS: what a strike by Dorinel :rockman: his first goal of the campaign as well!!

Cristea can be a good player but too much pressure was put on him after that glorious performance against Valencia.

După un sezon nelipsit de emoţii, în care toată suflarea stelistă a tremurat pînă în ultima secundă a ultimei etape, Steaua a reuşit să îşi adjudece trofeul de campioană. Din capul locului trebuie subliniat rolul pe care l-au jucat fotbaliştii, dar în special fostul antrenor Walter Zenga. Italianul, care a evitat să fie prezent azi în Ghencea, a avut cea mai mare contribuţie la cîştigarea acestui titlu de campioni.
Atacantul Rică Neaga, transferat în iarnă la Chunnam Dragons, a contribuit cu goluri decisive în turul campionatului, rămînînd mereu sufleteşte alături de Steaua de cînd a plecat în Coreea de Sud. Zenga a fost nevoit să renunţe la banca tehnică înainte cu trei etape de final, din lipsa rezultatelor din ultima vreme, lăsîndu-l pe interimarul Ţiţi Dumitriu să culeagă laurii de învingător.

După un parcurs european la care mulţi nu au sperat la începutul sezonului, italianul a condus Steaua pînă în sferturile Cupei UEFA, performanţă cu care fotbalul românesc nu s-a mai întălnit de zece ani. La începutul returului, cînd Steaua avea o diferenţă de şase puncte faţă de principalele contracandidate, Dinamo şi Rapid, toată lumea se aştepta ca formaţia din Ghencea să încheie cît mai repede acestă luptă. Însă, după eliminarea Valenciei, trupa antrenată de Zenga a abordat prima parte a returului cu un aer de superioritate, considerînd că meciurile din campionat sînt dinainte cîştigate.
Acest lucru nu a rămas netaxat, fapt pentru care Steaua a terminat precum un boxer (înfrîngeri la Constanţa, Galaţi şi în Cotroceni, egal la Iaşi, victorii preţioase acasă cu Bacăul şi la Braşov) care a punctat pe parcursul primelor reprize, iar la final s-a văzut înghesuit de adversar în corzi aşteptînd gongul salvator. Acum, cînd totul s-a sfîrşit cu bine pentru echipa patronată de Gigi Becali, nu ne rămîne decît să-i felicităm pe campioni şi să le urăm un parcurs cel puţin la fel de lung ca cel din Cupa UEFA din ediţia trecută, acum însă în Champions League, acolo unde va începe o nouă aventură europeană, din al doilea tur preliminar.

btw you only won because, some of our players did not realy play the way they should have mainly our goalkeeper popa. also how can you play football when the ref called so many easy fouls, and the game was stoped. btw dont you find it odd that there were no injury time aded on? wierd huh

and when you get the LPF president saying that steaua will be the only one who will win the league this season, when there were 3 other teams figthing for it, now thats a little strange dont you think? seeing how he is such a good friend of your shepard (cioban) jiji berbecali.

btw i dont care who won this year. well talk next seazon.

moldovan wont leave, he already said and agreed to remain another seazon. were looking to bring gigel bucur, olah from fc national is also our player, and couple more.
